A Successful Macmillan Coffee Morning Brings Residents Together

Manor Barn Care Home was filled with the smell of freshly baked cakes as residents, families and neighbours came together for a Macmillan Coffee Morning, buzzing with conversation and delicious treats.
Fundraising Success
The event was a great success, raising £143.72, beating our fundraising target. And every penny will go towards Macmillan’s vital work supporting people affected by cancer.
“We were blown away by the kindness of our community,” said Home Manager, Marie. “It was wonderful to see so many people pop in for a cuppa, enjoy a slice of cake and give so generously.”
Heartfelt Thanks to Our Brave Guests
A special thank you goes to the brave individuals who shared their personal cancer journeys with us. Their strength and openness was deeply moving and reminded us why Macmillan’s work matters so much.
The Manor Barn staff also deserve massive credit for organising the morning, from the homemade cakes to the thoughtful decorations, including balloons and bunting. Everything was done with care and made the event feel special.
Thank you to everyone who came along and supported us, together, we’ve made a real difference.
